MedInsights partners with Karolinska University Hospital to launch pioneer CardioTwin initiative
PARIS & STOCKHOLM — MedInsights is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Karolinska University Hospital (KUH) on the groundbreaking CardioTwin project. This initiative leverages MedInsights’ proprietary NEXUS-Rx explainable AI framework to build a next-generation clinical decision support tool for physicians managing cardiometabolic diseases. Powered by an extensive dataset of 2.3 million longitudinal patient records, the platform securely integrates electronic health records (EHR), patient medication histories, and clinical lab test data. By combining these diverse data streams with multi-omics and lifestyle variables, the tool creates dynamic "virtual subjects." Clinicians can use these digital twins to run parallel, risk-free simulations, evaluating how specific drug combinations and treatments will interact before making a final prescription. Led clinically by Dr. Paolo Parini at KUH, the project is currently moving into active clinical testing, aiming to provide doctors with a highly precise, proactive asset at the point of care.
